Come and enjoy the calm, clear waters of Saskatchewan Lake. Whether you are looking for a quiet get-away spot for two or a family vacation spot, this year round cottage is outfitted with everything you will need to enjoy your lakeside vacation from boats to badminton. Saskatchewan Lake is a small lake, last in the chain of the beautiful Hawk Lake system. It is situated in the heart of the Leslie Frost Forest giving way to seemingly endless paddling on its marked water trails. Our lake is a great place to come and relax with very little boat traffic even during holiday weekends. In the later part of the summer, the water level drops approx. 6-9’ and exposes a lovely sand beach area making a shallow entry for swimming and a great place to build sandcastles with the kids. Even if the weather outside is frightful, you have board games, ping-pong and even ExpressVu to keep you entertained.
Built right at the water’s edge, with picture windows on both floors and two huge lakeside decks, you can find great lake views from almost anywhere on the property. Catch glorious all day sun and spectacular sunsets from the 12’x24’ floating dock. Inside you will find an open concept design on both upper and lower levels. The main floor boasts the Kitchen, Living and Dining Room as well as the ‘master’ bedroom w/ Queen bed and the 1st bathroom. Large picture windows give a beautiful elevated open view to the lake. The patio doors give way to the upper deck where you will find a 6-place table and chairs set with umbrella and the propane BBQ. The lower level houses the rec room with bar and fridge, Ping-Pong table, the laundry facilities and of course, the woodstove for those cool evenings. It is also home to the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms with one Queen and two single beds respectively, as well as the 2nd bathroom. Open the patio doors to the huge 12’ x 26’ lakeside deck for all day sunshine. This is a great place to sit and keep a close eye on the kids while they play on the beach. Right on the snowmobile trails in winter. Within 25 minutes of the town of Haliburton and Minden. 25 minutes to the Haliburton Forest and Wolf Centre. 30 minutes to Sir Sams Inn and Skiing.
