This very private south west facing property offers beautiful views down the full length of Little Kennisis Lake. It’s a very private, well-treed lot situated at one end of the lake, right across from one of the entrances to Haliburton forest. From the gentle sandy beach which runs along the 200’ frontage you, family and friends can enjoy a safe, calm spot to swim, launch the canoe or paddle boat, or simply sit on the dock and take in the gorgeous sunsets.
There’s a picnic table in the gazebo to dine al fresco in comfort, or a large deck with lots of comfortable seating, along with a BBQ, and a chimnella to gather around in the evenings. There’s also an outdoor stone fire pit, part of the natural rock face that dominates the Muskoka/Kawartha region. There are grassed areas at both the front and back of the property if your preference is for a game of badminton or croquet. Inside the house, you can enjoy your morning coffee from the comfort of the screened-in porch, or in the bright well lit lounge/kitchen area. There’s a wood burning fireplace at one end of the lounge, and a dining table that will easily accommodate 10. The kitchen offers a large dine-at island, as well as a table, and is fully stocked with microwave/dishwasher and coffee maker as well as cooking utensils, dishes, cookware and even a lobster pot! WiFi internet access is available for your convenience. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms and two full bathrooms – the master bedroom has its own ensuite with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. In the rec room you’ll find a pool table and wet bar, along with a separate powder room. Access to the outside is from the rec room or upstairs through the porch, or the sliding glass doors in the dining area on the lakeside. There’s also an entrance at the roadside. In the basement, in a separate laundry room you’ll also find a large washer/dryer and drying line. Renters must bring their own bottled water for drinking. The local marina, as well as a public boat launch are with 5 km, and access to the Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve, including the Wolf Centre is close by. Rental fees Availability |
