This newly constructed, executive 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is sure to impress! As you walk through the door into the large mudroom, the view over pristine Haliburton lake is sure to leave you breathless. It won’t take you long to settle into a relaxing summer vacation here at Northern Escape!
Inside, the cottage boasts a comfortably furnished living space with a stunning wood-burning fireplace perfect for a chilly evening. The open-concept plan of the cottage, with the large kitchen at the center-of-it-all, allows for great entertaining - never missing a moment of indoor/outdoor fun. The kitchen comes fully equipped with fridge, stove, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker + Keurig single-cup brew system, griddle and crock pot. There is also a compact fridge in the mudroom for additional chill space. The 5 bedrooms can sleep 11 in comfort in 9 separate beds; 2 Queens, 1 Double, and 6 Singles. There are 2 bathrooms for your convenience including a 3-piece and a 4-piece master bedroom ensuite. Relax outside on this well landscaped lot, featuring natural stone work, large fire pit and grass area. Meander down to the new cedar dock or sway on the hammock by the shore. The shoreline has a gradual entry with a mix of rock and sand, exposing a small, private sand beach usually by mid August. The crystal clear waters of the lake make for great swimming to our floating swimming raft with ladder. The cottage comes with the use of a canoe w/paddles and an inflatable kayak should you wish to casually explore Haliburton lake. For the boating/water sports enthusiasts, there are 18+ miles of shoreline for your boating pleasure. Runabout, fishing and pontoon boat rentals are available at the Fort Irwin marina located on the lake (be sure to book early to avoid disappointment). Make sure you have a look at the 42 pound lake trout mounted and hanging inside the marina (yes, it was caught on the lake 2 summers ago). There is also an ice cream/pizza shop and a fully licensed restaurant at the marina for those nights when you don’t feel like cooking.
