Nicely located with big-lake views as well as a view of the beautiful blueberry islands (conservation lands which you and your family are free to explore), the lot is just a five-minute paddle from the mouth of the Kennisis River. A quiet paddle down the river leads into the famous Leslie Frost Conservation lands, a trip no naturalist would want to miss! The shallow sand beach in the bay side of the lot is the perfect launching area for your excursions. The building has 2 storeys + a finished walk-out level. The chalet-style cottage is finished totally in pine with a high efficient wood stove on the main floor and a gas fireplace in the basement. There is, of course, central heating as well. The dining room table seats 10 comfortably. There is also a main-floor laundry and a second full-sized fridge. The large kitchen will furnish all your cooking needs and the gas barbecue on the deck, located just outside the dining room door, is very convenient. The basement great room includes a living room area, a ping-pong table and a small fitness area with a stepper, treadmill, weight bench and weights. There is bocce ball, badminton, and horseshoe equipment for outdoor fun. A screen room with adjustable windows leads off the dining room. On the deck, there is an umbrella table. a large lounger-swing, a picnic table, and don’t forget the 6-person hot tub, all with beautiful views! The large hammock down on “discovery point” along with the nearby fire pit just add to your leisure options. There is lots of parking and a nice garden by the house for any renters who enjoy gardening. This private property is located within minutes of the Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve where you will find the Wolf Centre, the Walk In The Clouds, hiking trails and all sorts of activities for your family's enjoyment.
