This very new and spacious 2000 sq.ft., modern ranch style lake home boasts one of the most spectacular views on Big Kennisis Lake with 200 feet of natural shoreline and a beautiful sandy beach on 1.5 acres of untouched forest. Located on the South East corner in a fairly calm protected bay, the western exposure provides spectacular sunsets and perfect warmth throughout the day and evening. The water is shallow, extremely clean, and can get quite warm.
Classy and cozy enough for the executive type, yet trendy enough for those with an edge, this perfect get-a-way has already played hosts to top celebrities and media icons such as Deryck Whibley (SUM41), Avril Lavigne, Dan Moise (Jackalope), the Zanders (owners/publishers of FAZE Magazine) and Britney Spears' former personal body guard. This cottage comfortably accommodates 8 people in 4 large bedrooms (2 on the upper and 2 on the lower level) all with queen size beds and a king size in the master bedroom. The large strategically placed windows allow a perfect view from any room. All floors and walls feature Safe & Sound insulation for extra quiet and privacy. The 400 sq/ft deck runs the length of the cottage overlooking the lake and is perfect for relaxing and BBQing. The 6 ft overhang provides protection on a sunny or rainy days while still enjoying the view and the great outdoors. 2 full size refrigerator/freezers provide ample space for food, beverages and frozen goods. There is large 3 piece bathroom on the main floor and a bathroom with shower stall on the lower level. There are plenty of games to keep everyone busy: horse shoes, botchy ball, foosball, volley ball and badminton. There is a TV, VCR, DVD and tons of movies (lots for the kids too) and Bell Expressvu satellite as well. The kitchen features a toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and all drawers and shelves stocked full of all necessary utensils, cutlery, plates, cups and cook ware. The lower level laundry room has a full size washer and dryer. A forced air oil furnace ensures quick, efficient and easy comfort on the odd cool night and the large oil hot water tank provides plenty of hot water. Pressure and heat sensors ensure the shower stays comfortable and consistent while other water is in use. The water is always clean and clear and comes from a 500 ft. drilled well. There are plenty of outdoor chairs for the beach, deck and the large, round, rock fire place. You will also find umbrellas with stands for the beach. For the water there are plenty of beach toys for the kids, a paddle boat and a canoe and other floating favorites for recreation and relaxation. The fishing is great for bass and trout and the public boat launch is approximately 1km away and the local marina approximately 2km away.
