French’s Dream Fulfilled is a quiet retreat, perfect for the family desiring a relaxing country vacation. Walk through the door into a grownup “treehouse”! This brand new 3 bedroom cottage on Grace Lake is five minutes’ drive from the town of Wilberforce. Grace Lake is a deep, clear lake boasting great fishing – lake trout and bass. It’s also home to a beautiful-sounding loon family. One whole side of the lake is uninhabited. You can travel from Grace Lake to Dark Lake right into the town of Wilberforce by water. The cottage is located minutes away from Algonquin Park, where there are great hiking and biking trails. Also close by, providing a fascinating day trip is the Wolf Sanctuary in Haliburton Forest.
The cottage is bright and contemporary; fully equipped with dishes and cutlery, pots and pans, toaster, coffeemaker, microwave, stove, a BBQ, washer, dryer, dishwasher, TV for watching movies only, CD/DVD, fireplace. It sleeps 8 in 3 bedrooms, master with double bed, 2nd bedroom with bunks and 3rd bedroom (on lower level) with a queen; and a queen size futon in the lower level play room. There are 2 full bathrooms: one on upper level, one on lower level; both with bathtub/shower combination. A cozy screened porch on the upper level has a walk-out to a large full deck with a stunning view of the lake. The lot is large, gradually sloping to a sun deck connected to a dock at the shoreline. The lake is lightly traveled by boaters. There is no marina on the lake. There is a sand beach available at the end of the lake for cottagers’ use. There is also a fire pit for your evening enjoyment. This cottage provides a tranquil setting for a wonderful family holiday. The cottage comes with canoe and an aluminum boat (with paddles/oars) and a kayak. For insurance reasons, life jackets are not provided; they are the renter’s responsibility.
